Built by Lancini Constructions, B&G have completed the 3 stages of this, the largest big box retail development outside of Brisbane. Initiatives we brought to the project include the use of lightweight divisional stud walls to 7.5m high. He speed of installation and cost savings proved very beneficial to the construction. All external CFC, Vitrepanel and Comtex sheeting include framing and the complete fit out including suspended ceilings, partitions and linings, doors and skirting, Laminex WC partitions, Modwood screens were completed by B&G on this project.

Grand Mercure Townsville, Queensland

Grand Mercure is one of our latest projects built by Total Construction Services, with 54 studio apartments, gymnasium, retail tenancies and restaurant. On this project we are responsible for supply and install of all partitions, soffits, internal linings, doors, electronic and standard hardware and external Alucobond CFC cladding. We instigated the use of CSR’s new shadow set cornice to replace the traditional P50 set bead, this provided the client with a considerable cost savings. Fire rated ceilings and smoke walls throughout this project will be supplied and installed to manufacturers tested systems. Bathroom accessories, disable rails and CFC toilet partitions also make up part of our contracted works.

Ibis Motel Townsville, Queensland

Motel Ibis is a 103 room motel complex including restaurant, bar and conference facilities, very similar contract inclusions as in the Grand Mercure, actually almost identical built by the same company and owned by the same developer and used by the same client (Accor). Ibis was completed towards the end of 2006. this says it all, if you have good contractors stick with them.

Woolworths — Ingham Hinchinbrook Central Shopping Complex, Ingham, Queensland

Woolworths Hinchinbrook Central built by Candetti Constructions is the biggest development to happen in Ingham for some time and brings the standard of shopping facility to a par with anything in the Townsville or Cairns region. These types of project come with a brief from client and the owner. All bulkhead works to these stores are engineered to meet exacting requirements and we have them inspected by certified engineers who provide Form 16. Curved bulkheads, ceilings and prefinished colored ceilings are apart of this project, along with all external cladding. NB: We are now onto our next Woolworths project in Townsville making it our 4th new Woolworths project.

Coral Cove Apartments Bowen, Queensland

Coral Cove Apartments is a stunning complex situated on Horse Shoe Bay in Bowen and is the largest and most stunning development in the region, with 57 one, two and three bedroom apartments directly overlooking the water. Difficulties presented with labour in the area was one of the biggest challenges, we partly over came this with new Pneumatic “Aplatech” tools from the USA that allowed an average of four men to complete all the setting works on this project on time and on budget. This project would normally take 10 to 12 men to complete in the same time. Obviously we employ this technology today on any project where it is suitable , usually large unit developments.
